Don't look at the walls mom!

My 3 year old came to me as I was doing my hair and says "Don't look at the walls mom".

I knew instantly of course that he found a nice wall to use as his personal canvas. I was mad. Then I remembered Randy Pausch, the motivational speaker who died of cancer. His story stole my heart a while back. One thing he said "as he knew he was dying" was to let your kids draw on the walls. It will make them happy and all you need is more paint.

After loosing a friend this week and always knowing that life is short, I think I will let this one go. Besides, his little drawing is pretty cute!

Super Star

He was so excited to do his super star page. I love how his fave food is PEAS....that's new! It may be difficult to read, so here's what he said:

Goodbye Friend

Today I lost my instructor at school to a heart attack. I considered her a friend as so many did. She was too young to go and she left behind so much. I'm so sad she didn't take a break sooner, so rest in peace Lana. We will all miss you.
